Going to Court

Using plain, easy to understand language, this video of what an Aboriginal person going to court can expect will resonate with a First Peoples audience. The responsibilities and limitations of the Courtworker, Lawyer, Crown Prosecutor, and Judge are explored from the perspective of what (if any) obligations they have to the defendant. Walking the viewer through the courthouse doors, the video describes the titles and duties of inside and outside courtroom personnel, details court procedure and protocol, and lets the viewer know what to expect when their court date arrives.
